Hop does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data. The app operates entirely on your device.

What we collect

Downloads:When you download Hop, we record a hashed (SHA-256) version of your IP address, your browser's user agent string, and the macOS version parsed from it. We do not store raw IP addresses. This data is used only to count downloads and understand which macOS versions are in use.

Update checks: Hop uses Sparkle to check for updates. Sparkle sends a standard HTTP request to our server containing your macOS version and Hop version. No personal data is transmitted.
